The Making of
Jonathan Muteba
Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jonathan Muteba's story is one of relentless forward momentum. From the streets of Kinshasa to the engineering labs of Massachusetts, he carried with him an unshakeable belief that excellence is not assigned — it is earned.
After arriving in the United States, Jonathan pursued chemical engineering at UMass Lowell and later earned his Master's at Northeastern University, where he also completed the Gordon Institute Engineering Leadership Certificate — a program that sharpened not just his technical acuity, but his capacity to lead.
Engineering was never going to be enough. Jonathan channeled his drive into entrepreneurship, founding Brilla Life Sciences, a consulting firm bridging the gap between scientific rigor and business growth, and Brillaverse, a workforce development platform built to open doors for the next generation.
Today, Jonathan is deepening his expertise on the frontier of artificial intelligence through the Gauntlet AI Program, fusing engineering fundamentals with the language of tomorrow's technology. He is not waiting to see what the future brings — he is building it.
